Great, <300 page tutorial and reference to Italian. I've got the French, Italian and Spanish language books in this series. The subjects are a bit dated but as a pretty dense tutorial (i.e. the facts and learning come thick and fast; there's a lot to read on each page) invaluable.

I bought this for a class where it's the set book, but as I have other Italian books, I went for the cheapest option. It's old, rather faded and tiny print, but it was very reasonably priced and arrived promptly. If you have a choice, I wouldn't go for the "Living" series of language books - they have a very old fashioned approach, and Hugo and Routledge among others produce much livelier texts - but they are thorough, with lots of exercises for practising reading and writing so all in all, I'm happy with this.

This book was described as used, but in good condition. It is, in fact it is very good condition. I have just flicked through it and only started on exercises 1 - 3. The content looks comprehensive and this book would be useful for someone who is completely new, or wanting to revise Italian.

Studied Italian as a separate 'O' level subject, whilst doing my A levels and this is the text book we used. Excellent format and I have returned to it now - 50 years on - to return to my studies. Definitely recommend this as an introduction to the Italian language. Buona fortuna !
